Local Free Fire esports fans can anticipate an eventful lineup with the Free Fire Challenger Series Philippines (FFCP) reaching its conclusion on 6 February!
The inaugural tournament ended its League Stage last Friday, where 18 teams duke it out for a spot in the Top 12. Teams in the top 12 will qualify for the Grand Finals this weekend and compete for the FFCP championship title.
During the league stage, AKO LIGERS, VETE ESPORTS, and AVA RADICALS dominated the rankings and came in first, second, and third, respectively. Other qualifying teams include: GOVILAM WEWS, BLOODY HEAD, VPH VELOCITY, WHO’S NEXT, EQUINOX, THE VINDICATORS, EGO OBLIVIONS, TROT WYS, and AXIS.

Most downloaded mobile game globally in 2021
In addition to FFCP Grand Finals, Free Fire was named the most downloaded mobile game globally in 2021, across both the iOS and Google Play Store, according to App Annie’s latest State of Mobile 2022 report, which was released earlier this month. This marked the third year in a row that Free Fire was the most downloaded mobile game worldwide, having also topped the ranking in 2020 and 2019.
