Set 8 TFT Esports in APAC: Everything You Need to Know

As Teamfight Tactics Will Be Self-Published in Southeast Asia, Riot will also start to operate TFT esports in this region. In Set 8, SEA competitive players finally have an opportunity to compete against the best players in the world. Now you can qualify to the Asian Cup, and Championship through the SEA Circuit.

For Korea, Japan, and Oceania players, there will be separate qualifying routes to advance to the Asian Cup and Championship as before.

Here is the information of Set 8 Esports in the Asia-Pacific region.

[SEA Circuit]

While there is five different servers running for Teamfight Tactics and two different routes will be provided for SEA players : Vietnam / 4 Other Regions (SG/ID/MY, TH, PH, MW/MO/HK)

[Vietnam Division]

Vietnam Open Qualifiers #1 (2/4 ~ 2/5)
Participants: 256 Players

Format
- Day 1: Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 5 rounds each. The groups will be shuffled after the first two games. Top 64 players will progress to Day 2
- Day 2: Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 5 rounds each. The groups will be shuffled after the first two games

Prize Pool: Top 10 Players advanced to SEA Regional Cup #1

Vietnam Open Qualifiers #2 (2/11 ~ 2/12)
Participants: 256 Players (For all players lost in Open Qualifier #1 and Waitlisted Players)

Format
- Day 1: Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 5 rounds each. The groups will be shuffled after the first two games. Top 64 players will progress to Day 2
- Day 2: Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 5 rounds each. The groups will be shuffled after the first two games

SEA Regional Cup #1 (2/17 ~ 2/19)
Participants: 32 Players

Format
- Day 1: Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 6 rounds each. The groups will be shuffled after the first two games. Top 16 players will progress to Day 2
- Day 2: Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 6 rounds each. The groups will be shuffled after the first two games. Top 8 players will progress to Day 2
- Day 3: Checkmate Format - Players will play games until the first player to earn 18 points, and then get 1st place in a round will be crowned the SEA Champion

Prize Pool: USD 10,000 + 6 Asian Cup Spot

[SG/ID/MY, TH, PH, MW/MO/HK Division]

TFT The Chosen One - TW & HK Series (1/31 ~ 2/3)
Participants: 16 Players

- 8 Players from Open Qualifiers
- Invited 8 Players

Format
- Day 1 Group Stage - Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 3 rounds each. Top 3 players from each group will progress to Day 3. 4th~7th players from each group goes to Day 2
- Day 2 Losers Finals - Players will play 3 rounds each. Top 2 players will advance to Day 3
- Day 3 Grand Finals - Players will play 5 rounds each, and Top 2 will advance to Chosen One

- Day 3: Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 4 rounds each. The groups will be shuffled after every game. The top 16 point scores move on to the next round. Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 4 rounds each. The groups will be shuffled after every game. The top 8 point scores move on to the next round.
- Day 4: Players will play 6 rounds. The top 4 highest scoring players move on to the Spellslinger Cup.

Format
- Day 1~2: Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 6 rounds each. Top 16 players will progress to Day 3

- Day 2: Players will play 6 rounds each. The top 3 highest scoring players move on to Asian Cup
