Starring Lovi Poe and Piolo Pascual, this highly anticipated series is the first Viu Original Adaptation from the Philippines. It will stream simultaneously on Viu 48 hours prior to its airing on terrestrial television.
ABS-CBN Entertainment's Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast, Cory Vidanes, and Viu Philippines' Country Manager, Arianne Kader-Cu, expressed their enthusiasm for the series, which would be Lovi's first Kapamilya teleserye since joining the network and Piolo's first drama series in four years.
Ms. Arianne stated, "As a demonstration of our dedication to offering the greatest premium Asian entertainment to Viu-ers, we are thrilled to once again collaborate with ABS-CBN to provide the Philippine adaptation of Flower of Evil to all 16 regions where Viu is available. This latest offering places Filipino talent at the forefront of how we tell stories, supported by a stellar cast and world-class production crew."
Ms. Cory stated, "Our relationship with Viu on the local adaptation of Flower of Evil is a significant achievement for ABS-CBN Entertainment." This is an opportunity for us to expose outstanding Filipino content and talent to an international audience in Viu's 16 markets."
She said, "Our local translation of the Korean hit love story Flower of Evil, a gripping and emotional drama about family love, the search for truth, and the pursuit of justice, was unanimously selected to launch our regional relationship with Viu."
Flower of Evil is presently under production and will debut shortly. It is the riveting tale of a man who successfully assumes a new identity to conceal his controversial background. Afterwards, he marries a police investigator, who would later be assigned to investigate an unsolved serial murder case that will lead her back to him.
Agot Isidro, Edu Manzano, Denise Laurel, Joross Gamboa, Joem Bascon, Epy Quizon, Rita Avila, Jett Pangan, Pinky Amador, Joko Diaz, and JC de Vera are also featured on the show.
The relationship between ABS-CBN and Viu enhances their vision and dedication to offering top Asian entertainment to more viewers across the world. The cooperation began with the broadcast of ABS-hit CBN's drama series The Broken Marriage Vow on Viu earlier this year.
