Google News

Google News Initiative (GNI), the company's largest-ever effort to assist journalism to thrive in the digital era, has announced the opening of its new Data & Insights Launchpad.

The Launchpad is a training program that aims to enhance the data skills of Southeast Asian news organizations.

The Data & Insights Launchpad training program will last three months and provide up to eight regional publishers with a practical and rigorous experience. Publishers interested in applying must have operated a digital business for at least two years and receive at least 250,000 unique monthly visits.

The digital program will educate participating publishers on the significance of data and the need to invest in a data team, tools, and platforms.

As part of the initiative, participants will also receive one-on-one support for their data teams from FT Strategies, a GNI partner and digital consultancy. In addition to learning from Google and FT Strategies, they will also gain knowledge from the experiences of other participants.

By August 17, 2022, applications must be submitted online via the website. Send an email to sabrina.daryanani@ft.com for more details.
